The Bombay High Court has issued a warning about scammers making phone calls, sending messages, or sharing links while impersonating High Court judges or judicial officers to extort money. In response, the court has appointed Rajendra T. Virkar as the Nodal Officer to handle such reports.
The High Court’s Registrar General issued a notice advising the public not to engage with these fraudulent messages or calls and to report them directly to the Nodal Officer at rajvirkar@yahoo.com. Additionally, individuals are urged to report these incidents to their local police stations.
The notice also highlights that the High Court Administration is collaborating with law enforcement agencies to combat these scams and has requested public cooperation in addressing the issue.
