The Supreme Court has noted that the right to property under Article 300A of the Constitution extends to individuals who are not citizens of India. The Court stated, “The term ‘person’ in Article 300-A includes not only a legal or juristic person but also an individual who is not a citizen of India. The term ‘property’ is also broadly construed and encompasses both tangible and intangible assets.”
