Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas has rolled out an enhanced compensation and benefits program for all its lawyers.
As previously reported, the compensation for entry-level associates has been increased to ₹20 lakh per annum, making it the highest in the industry for such positions.
Key policies introduced by the firm include:
Revised compensation for all other associates and salaried partners, based on a comprehensive performance evaluation that factors in efficiency.
Continuation of the firm’s existing variable compensation policy, offering up to 200% based on efficiency-based performance.
Additionally, the firm has launched new people-centric policies, such as:
Work-from-anywhere policy (2 weeks annually)
Caregiver leave (up to 3 weeks)
Increased paternity leave (now 3 weeks)
Additional childcare leave
Health check-ups
Sabbatical policies for associates and partners
To support the well-being of its lawyers, the firm has also introduced:
An annual rejuvenation break from December 25 to January 1 (inclusive)
Formal recognition of mental health days
On-site physiotherapy services
A new workplace anti-harassment code
Mentorship and coaching support
