Today, the Supreme Court granted permission for Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader and former Telangana CM’s daughter K. Kavitha to withdraw her plea challenging ED summons related to the Delhi Excise Policy case. The plea was dismissed as withdrawn by a bench comprising Justices Bela M Trivedi and Pankaj Mithal, with Kavitha being given the liberty to pursue appropriate remedies within the legal framework.
During the hearing, Senior Advocate Vikram Chaudhri, representing Kavitha, argued that the writ had become irrelevant and should be treated as such. He stated, “Because I’ve been arrested, I’ll take all my pleas in a fresh matter.”
