On Wednesday, a Bengaluru Sessions Court issued an order restraining media outlets and lawyer KN Jagadish from publishing, broadcasting, or circulating any defamatory content against former Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
The order was passed by Additional City Civil and Sessions Judge Vani A Shetty in response to an application filed by Bommai.
The Court also directed Jagadish to remove two posts from the social media platform X that contained defamatory remarks against Bommai.
Bommai sought the injunction after Jagadish posted a video on X, in which he claimed that a close associate of Bommai had filed a complaint against him at Yeshwanthpur police station, leading to Bommai being summoned for questioning.
