Aparna Ravi is set to join S&R Associates as a Retained Partner in the Banking & Finance practice at the firm’s Mumbai office on July 1.
Ravi holds an A.B. in Government magna cum laude from Harvard University (2000) and a J.D. cum laude from New York University School of Law (2003).
Her prior experience includes serving as a Partner at Samvād Partners in Bengaluru, working with Credit Suisse in London, and with Weil, Gotshal & Manges in New York and London.
Ravi specializes in banking and finance, private credit, and restructuring. She advises global and Indian financial institutions, alternative finance providers, private equity sponsors, and companies on various financing transactions and matters, such as acquisition financing, structured finance, refinancing, venture debt, restructuring, and insolvency resolution.
Additionally, she has experience advising on mergers and acquisitions and foreign investment matters across multiple sectors. Ravi was also a member of the Bankruptcy Law Reforms Committee, which was constituted by the Government of India to draft the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016.
