Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud recently laid the foundation stone for the Rajiv K Luthra Academic Wing at the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru.
The redevelopment of the Academic Wing, funded by a grant from the Rajiv K Luthra Foundation, will involve the redesigning of existing classrooms and seminar rooms, along with the construction of new ones to enhance the learning environment.
The foundation stone-laying ceremony, held on September 22, was attended by several distinguished guests, including Attorney General of India R Venkataramani, Chairman of the Bar Council of India Manan Mishra, Chief Trustee of the Rajiv K Luthra Foundation Gayatri Luthra, Managing Partner of Luthra and Luthra Law Offices India Harry Chawla, and Managing Partner of Luthra and Luthra Chartered Accountants Amit Luthra.
Established in memory of the late Rajiv K Luthra, the foundation has also introduced two annual gold medals to recognize outstanding students. Additionally, the grant will fund an annual lecture series in his honor for the next five years, further cementing his legacy in the legal field.
