The Arbitration Bar of India, in collaboration with the Bombay Bar Association, is hosting its inaugural conference on “Judicial Support and Role of Courts in Arbitration” on September 21, 2024. The event will take place at YB Chavan Auditorium, Mumbai, from 9 AM to 2 PM, followed by lunch.
The opening session will include remarks from key legal figures such as Vyapak Desai, Vice President of the Arbitration Bar of India; Nitin Thakker, Senior Advocate and President of the Bombay Bar Association; Gourab Banerji, Senior Advocate and President of the Arbitration Bar of India; Birendra Saraf, Senior Advocate and Advocate General of Maharashtra; Tushar Mehta, Solicitor General of India; R. Venkataramani, Senior Advocate and Attorney General for India; and Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyay of the Bombay High Court. Advocate Farhan Dubash will conclude the inaugural session with closing remarks.
Following this, a session on “Effective Strategies for Arbitration Advocacy” will be introduced by Justice A.S. Chandurkar of the Bombay High Court. The panel discussion, moderated by Raj Panchmatia, Executive Committee Member of the Arbitration Bar of India, will feature:

The second panel discussion, focusing on the “Role of Arbitration Bar in Modern Arbitration,” will commence with an address by Justice G.S. Kulkarni of the Bombay High Court. Moderated by Naresh Thacker, Joint Secretary (Western Region) of the Arbitration Bar of India, the discussion will include:
