The Central government has notified the appointment of Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva as the acting Chief Justice of the Madhya Pradesh High Court.
Justice Sachdeva will take over from Justice Sheel Nagu, who has been appointed as the Chief Justice of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
Justice Sachdeva was transferred to the Madhya Pradesh High Court from the Delhi High Court in May this year at his own request.
Justice Sachdeva enrolled as an advocate on August 1, 1988, with the Bar Council of Delhi. He practiced before the Supreme Court of India, the High Court of Delhi, and the District Courts of Delhi. He became an Advocate-on-Record at the Supreme Court in 1995.
He was elevated as an Additional Judge of the Delhi High Court on April 17, 2013, and became a permanent judge on March 18, 2015.
