Today, the Supreme Court will consider granting interim bail to Delhi Chief Minister #ArvindKejriwal in the Delhi liquor policy case.
A bench comprising Justices Sanjiv Khanna and Dipankar Datta will hear this matter (item no. 50).
Kejriwal has been in custody since his arrest on March 21. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) filed a new affidavit yesterday opposing interim bail for Kejriwal to participate in election campaigning. The ED argued that election campaigning is not a fundamental or legal right and granting bail on this basis would set a wrong precedent.
