The Supreme Court, in its April 4 notification, has outlined the cases to be listed during the upcoming Summer Vacation 2024. The notification specifies that matters falling under three categories—Labour Matters, Service Matters, and Habeas Corpus Matters—can be filed and listed before the vacation bench. Additionally, the Court has attached over a thousand matters under these categories that are ready to be listed. These cases will be scheduled throughout the week from Monday to Friday during the summer break.
The notification emphasizes that this announcement is adequate notice, and no further reminders will be issued regarding the listing of these matters. However, members of the Bar who do not wish to have their cases listed due to “unavoidable circumstances” can decline by informing ‘The Registrar, Supreme Court of India’ in writing and submitting it to DEU Section Room No. FW 50, First Floor, Main Campus by 1:00 P.M. on May 4, 2024 (Saturday).
The summer recess, as per the Supreme Court calendar, will commence on May 18 and conclude on July 8.
